Plainsight is a service operated by Glotomati (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information we collect through this website and our monitoring service, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information you give us
When you sign up, we collect your Shopify domain, your email address, the number of stores you have, and anything you write in the optional note. We use this only to reply to you and to set up and run the service for your store.
Information from monitoring your store
When you ask us to monitor a store, we visit its public pages the way a shopper’s browser does. We record what those pages deliver, such as script fingerprints, the websites the page contacts, configuration signals and browser storage signals. Returning visitor state is encrypted and is not included in shared evidence. We use this only to detect problems and to explain them to you.
We do not log in to your Shopify admin, place orders or enter checkout. We do not set out to collect information about your shoppers. If a recording happens to contain personal information, we use it only for the service and remove it when it is no longer needed.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical details when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the time of the request. We use your IP address briefly to limit repeated form submissions. This website uses Google Analytics, which sets cookies, to measure how visitors find and use it. We do not use advertising trackers.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We share it only with services that help us run Plainsight:
- Google Analytics, for website visit statistics
- Amazon Web Services, which hosts this website and stores signup requests
- Google Fonts, which supplies the fonts on this website and receives your IP address when the page loads
We may also share information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep signup details while we are in contact with you or providing the service. We keep monitoring recordings for up to 90 days, or longer while an alert about them is still open. Baseline fingerprints and scan summaries remain while your store is monitored so that future checks can be compared.
Your choices
You can ask us to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or to stop monitoring your store, at any time. Email us at daniel@glotomati.com.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. If the change is significant, we will tell customers by email.
